It was mooncake festival!
Shiya,aloy and i joined jiayi's cell to make mooncakes!
Jiayi was reallly nice to let all of us come over! =)

First of all, we need to have 2 portions of flour. (depending on how many colours of mooncake u wanna have.) For us, we had two colours, green and purple.
and then, add in water and start mixing is with ur hands! after a while, add in the shortening and continue mixing!

awwws! sweeeet! LOL.
add in the colourings, just a few drops will do! then cont mixing till u get a dough!
we had green tea plus red bean paste.
our freshly baked almonds! it made the mooncake taste soooo much better coz of the crunch!
Time to finally make the mooncake!
everyone getting their hands on it!
Take a small bit of dough,roll it into a ball then flatten it.
put the paste in the centre. and roll it into a ball agn!
hahaha we look so engrossed in the followin pics!

after rolling it into a ball, just put it into the mould.. and then..
TADA! My first ever mooncake made!
hahaha. this and the bottom one is nt mine! its iris's! LOL.

combining with hers! we have 'hua hao yue yuan'. The musical note's done by shui ting. =)
After tt, we went downstairs to ti deng long.
hahaha it has been a really loooooong time since i last walked ard carrying a lantern!

Making mooncake's really fun!
But now i noe why is it sooooo fattening! and how eating one mooncake can coz u 1000 over calories! haha.
The dough was sooo oily! prolly coz of the shortening but the funny thing is we didnt add alot.
okay anyway mooncakes are fattening plus oily.
But those bing pi and those buttered skin mooncakes taste sooo gd! HAHA.
